The Staghorn Fern was considered rare until a variety native to Australia was discovered to be more resilient for propagation. It has two unique types of leaves: fertile fork shaped fronds and sterile fronds that start green and fade to brown as they form the base of the plant.

When mature, your Staghorn Fern should be mounted to a wood plank or placed in a basket for best growth. As an epiphytic plant (a plant that grows on other plants or objects in the wild), they grow best when elevated at home.
