Pots

Allow about 2 to 5 cm more in diameter than the grow pot. For a large plant (a metre or more), go for our large planters; for a plant on a piece of furniture, a medium or small size is enough.

A pot has a drainage hole that lets excess water escape when you water; the plant is potted directly into it. A planter, on the other hand, has no hole and is purely decorative: it dresses the grow pot, to protect your furniture and floors.

A planter is above all decorative: it dresses the grow pot and adds style, even height depending on the model (a tall design or a standing one). With no hole, it protects your furniture and floors. It's also very practical: you replace or move the plant without repotting, simply slipping it inside.

A pot, with a drainage hole, lets watering drain away and prevents excess moisture at the roots. It lets you plant directly, a real plus outdoors or for anyone who prefers to repot. With a saucer, it also protects your surfaces.

No: a planter has no hole by definition, which protects your furniture and floors. You slip the plant in its pierced grow pot inside, and empty any excess water after watering. If you'd rather plant directly, choose a pot instead, which has a drainage hole.

Our planters are made of glazed ceramic, terracotta, bio-plastic, polystone and polyresin; some sit on a stand in PEFC™-certified solid wood. Each material has its strength: ceramic for refined finishes, bio-plastic for freedom of shape, polystone which mimics the look of stone while staying very light, polyresin for sculptural shapes and durability, and the wooden stand for a unique, natural finish.

Play it consistent: pick up a shade already in the room, or go for a bold contrast for a more graphic effect. Play with heights too, with a standing model or a large floor pot beside lower ones. The same model repeated across several plants creates a lovely harmony.
