La technique de la risographie


La risographie est une technique d’impression mécanique réalisée au moyen d’une machine inventée dans les années 1950 au Japon, le risographe ou duplicopieur, qui utilise la technique du pochoir. A cheval entre la reprographie et la sérigraphie, la technique riso emploie un procédé d’impression offset à froid et monochrome, c’est-à-dire qu’elle imprime une couleur à la fois. Pour chaque couleur, un document est envoyé à la machine qui interprète le fichier image et le convertit en trame de points pour créer un modèle, le master. Ce papier à base d’acétate recouvert de cire vient s’enrouler sur le tambour où sont insérées les cartouches de couleur. L’encre qui passe à travers le master est apposée sur le papier et génère, au fil des passages successifs par les différents masters, aboutit à l’impression finale.

Le rendu tramé, caractéristique de l’impression riso, possède donc les petites imperfections et le charme d'un procédé artisanal qui séduit de plus en plus les graphistes et les artistes.

Priscillia Jorge a grandi à Paris. Elle est architecte-urbaniste et travaille sur l’espace sensible et les paysages métropolitains. Artiste autodidacte, elle explore différents supports allant des fresques murales à l’illustration, et des techniques diversifiées comme la sérigraphie, la risographie, la peinture et la linogravure. Inspiré de ses nombreux voyages en Amérique Latine, son travail évoque la relation à la nature à travers des créations poétiques qui célèbrent le monde végétal.

What will I receive with my plant ?

If you order a plant with pot you will receive :

- 1 plant

- 1 pot

- clay balls

- decorative moss

- a care card

- a moisture meter (free, only for Large and Xlarge plants orders)

When you unbox your plant, the staging is already arranged : the clay balls are placed at the bottom of the pot and the decorative moss is placed on top of the soil.

For Large and Xlarge plants, you will just have to pike the moisture meter in the soil.

If you order a plant without pot you will receive :

- 1 plant in its growing plastic pot and adapted saucer

- 1 staging kit containing : clay balls, decorative moss, a moisture meter

- a care card

After unboxing your plant you will have to arrange the staging yourself. Very simple ! Place the clay balls into the saucer, place the plant on top of it and pike the moisture meter then arrange the decorative moss on top of the soil.

Do you sell the plants without a ceramic pots?

Yes, we do for Large and Extra Large plants.

The plants come with a nursery pot, an adapted saucer, a staging kit contaning clay balls, decorative moss and a moisture meter, and a care card.

How are your plants packaged for shipping?

We take great care in packaging each and every plant set to ensure it arrives in pristine condition. Our innovative, custom packaging allows us to not only protect our delicate ceramic planters but also any variety of living greenery. Unboxing is easy and delightful.

How does the delivery work?

All our plants (except Xlarge plants) are shipped with UPS, Chronopost or Colissimo Standard, within 2 working days. The houseplants are carefully packaged in recycled packaging specially designed for their safety. The average transit time is 2 to 5 working days.

For a delivery in Paris or in Ile-de-France, we offer our White Glove delivery service, carried out by our delivery team. The plants are set up in your home, if desired. You will be able to choose your delivery date at the order check-out. Our delivery people will contact you 30 minutes to 1 hour before delivery.

Xlarge plants are only available in Paris and Ile-de-France with our White Glove delivery service.

The shipping charges depend on the delivery zone, they will appear after the cart validation and the entry of the delivery information.

What is your 45-day guarantee all about?

We want to assure you that anyone can be a successful plant owner. Our plants are all easy to care for and come with foolproof care instructions. It takes a little practice to develop a green thumb, but if the plant dies within your first 45 days, we'll replace it!

Can I reschedule my delivery?

Of course! For White Glove delivery (X-Large and Large plants) we simply ask that you notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery day so that we can notify our delivery team. Contact us at bonjour@leonandgeorge.com to let us know what changes you would like to make.

For Standard delivery (Tabletops and accessories), we ask you to inform us as soon as possible and at the latest 24 hours after the validation of your order to be sure that the order is not yet shipped. Contact us on bonjour@leonandgeorge.com to indicate the desired changes.
